There are hundreds of thousands of pets found and taken off the streets. These are truly alarming numbers, showing that this scourge is far from gone and continues to be a structural problem in our society.
Such is the case of Pax, a furry man who did not live up to his name when he was found very ill in the middle of the border between Mexico and the United States. He had to overcome great difficulties, he was hungry and injured, so he urgently needed a quick medical intervention that would save his life.
Loneliness and sadness were his faithful companions, day and night. That is why it was very difficult for him to acquire her name. There was no peace in the little animal, and it is not for less.
Surely, he had to spend a long time suffering and wandering aimlessly in those conditions, until, fortunately, he was spotted by a man who kept several dogs in his residence , and who lived on the American side of the border.
Pax met the dogs under his care, and immediately they seemed to invite him to come with them to their new home. For his part, seeing them arrive at the door of his residence with a new friend, the man allowed him to stay , in a beautiful gesture of solidarity and love for those who suffer the most.
However, he couldn’t do much more for the little dog, other than provide him with temporary shelter. The pup needed prompt medical care and the safety of a home, or else it would perish irrevocably.
In view of this, the man contacted Hope For Paws , an animal shelter from where they quickly sent a group of volunteers in search of the sick little boy.
“We got the call from this big-hearted man and luckily he did his best to keep the little dog alive. We managed to stabilize him and he is recovering satisfactorily, ”they said from Hope for Paws.
Once they were present at the site, they proceeded to videotape all their actions regarding the rescue and subsequent recovery process of Pax, a name that was finally given to him in the shelter.
It was through the offering of rich food that these people managed to extract Pax from the side of his dog friends, and persuaded him to approach them without fear.
It was not an easy task. It took some time for Pax to trust someone again , but animals are such wonderful beings that, even after so many vicissitudes, this dog did not completely resist the affection of these people.
“It was like this, with food, how do we turn the leash around this little dog, then pick it up and put it in the car. Pax was always calm and never offered to protest. He is finally relieved,” the shelter volunteers added.
After recovering, everything was peaceful and happy for this little dog . He healed physically and emotionally, and today he lives in a much more beautiful and welcoming place, surrounded by love he should never have lost. .
