They say there is nothing sadder than suffering in solitude, even more so for stray dogs, abandoned little creatures, often resignedly waiting for the last day.
This is one of those small dogs that have been wandering the streets for a long time hoping someone will help them. However, his injuries and pain were so great that one day he decided to hide behind a tree hoping for the worst .
It was an older puppy with poor health.
The puppy knows that the end is near , fortunately some angels have come to save him and give him some light in the midst of so much darkness.

The puppy’s injury left rescuers heartbroken.
When the team arrived they never imagined the magnitude of the furry’s injuries, he had a bleeding fractured ear and a large hole in his stomach .
The defenseless puppy was just skin and bones, it is possible that he had days without eating to be able to be in that situation. When one of the men reached over to pick up the puppy, it whimpered and cried in pain . Something that disconsolated all the rescuers.

With great care they took him to the sanctuary where he received all the medical attention he needed . They gave him painkillers to prevent pain while they examined him.
The vet was able to see the worms moving in the wounds , they applied powder to kill the worms and clean the wounds properly.
Hundreds of maggots crawled out of both wounds.
The process lasted several hours, once they had extracted all the worms, they proceeded to remove the dead tissue . The puppy was sedated so he felt no pain.
It was only a matter of time before he woke up , needed to be fed and hydrated, so the rescue team helped him carry out these activities.
Little by little he was gaining weight and regaining strength.
The puppy’s recovery was not easy at all, it took a month for them to see positive results , their wounds were slowly healing.
During all this time, his rescuers never gave up, they were sure that the puppy would recover and bring joy to the sanctuary. After a while, a lot of patience and infinite love, the puppy’s transformation was complete .
They decided to name him Baloo.
Now the pup enjoys being petted by his rescuers and basking in the sun on his angels’ legs.
Baloo is missing a few teeth, which makes his tongue stick out a bit , however, this makes him look really adorable, don’t you think?
For the old dog age was not an impediment.
It is unknown how long adorable Baloo will live, but at least the rest of his days will be surrounded by people who love him unconditionally and care to make him the happiest dog in the world. .
